Since there are 17 days til Christmas I thought it would be fun to share 17 things I love about the Holidays.

*These are not in any particular order - it is first come first serve in my brain*

1. Spending time with my family in Michigan.

2. Trudging through the snow...

3. Candy canes dipped in my hot chocolate.

4. Watching the boys open their Christmas presents.

5. Meeting up for coffee dates with friends in Michigan.

6. Getting our house nice and decorated for Christmas. (Not overboard though) No inflatables here :)

7. Singing Christmas songs very loudly in my car, shower, while walking around the house..umm pretty much from Halloween on I get obsessed with Christmas music.

8. Watching all the holiday shows that come on ABC family for the month of December!

9. Giving people Christmas presents!!!

10. Hello lovely FOOD :)

11. 2 week break from teaching. YAHOO

12. Walking around my house in my BIG BLUE furry slipper boots. (They are pretty awesome.)

13. Getting Pudge a Holiday shirt to sport.

14. Christmas scented candles minus pine cone.

15. Neck warmth that is maintained by my colorful scraves.

16. slipping my hands into warm mittens.

17. FAMILY, FAMILY, FAMILY! :)

Is anyone else completely shocked that it is December 4th and Christmas is in 21 days? Wowza...I need to finish my Christmas shopping. Good thing when I was laid up at home sick, I took advantage of Cyber Monday and got a lot done with a click of my mouse...and my visa. Gotta love sitting in your pajamas, sipping hot chocolate and crossing off your xmas shopping list with a few clicks. Oh yes- it made me feel wonderful. I like crossing things off my daily post-it note. The post-it notes are the death of me as well as my life saver. Oxy-moron? Why yes it is...but that's my life.

Ryan and I head home exactly two weeks from now and my heart is soo excited. I haven't been home-home since August for a short visit and that's too long for me. The last time Ryan was home for an extended time was in June. We are pumped :)

Guess who came to North Carolina for a visit last week? :) That's right- my nephews, my parents and my sister and her husband. These two little boys below bring us much joy and we were thankful to be able to spend Thanksgiving with them. Issy is such a sweet boy. He is growing up too fast and has a lot of fun things to say. Nolan is a cutie pie and is as busy as busy comes. Whew- I thought I had my house pretty much proof for him and boy was I wrong. He got into everything!!! Our trip was cut a day short due to my great grandmother's heath declining but it was a fantastic vacation. Stay tuned for a video of our adventures :)

These images make me smile everytime I see them. We had so much fun playing in the backyard together.

Last week I had the pleasure of doing a family session with these two cuties below. I arrived at their house bright and early Saturday morning to do some Christmas pictures. :) I love seeing what outfits they are going to wear they are so stylish! :)

A couple weeks ago, Ryan decided that we should spend the day in Asheville for my Birthday. While I really wanted to go and see the house, view, etc, I also really just wanted to be lazy. I put on my happy face, stopped and got me a biscuit and gravy and made the 2 hr journey to the mountains. Boy was I glad we went. The weather was just PERFECT, the wine tasted fabulous and the overall trip was very relaxing! I brought along my flip and recorded parts of our day. Enjoy :)

All we did was laugh at this session and it was just medicine to the soul! I absolutely LOVE this family. I just want to squeeze on these little girls all day. Aren't they just beautiful? They are the sweetest, happiest, most fun little girls I have seen in a long time. They jumped out of the car and immediately held my hands, skipped down the sidewalk and we became fast friends. Once again I am blessed to see families interact. I am hopeful that one day my kids will love us as much as these girls love their mom and dad!

My birthday is this Saturday and Ryan got me a flip!! I just LOVE it and can't wait to use it over and over again. We have cracked up at some of the videos captured in the short week I have had it. :) I'm looking forward to using it this weekend in the mountains, when my family comes to visit, Thanksgiving, Christmas and much more.

My subject this past week has been the adorable and sweet Pudge. :) He is too funny not to record and for those who don't understand my doggie love- I'm sorry but he's our child. And parents record their children being cute and silly. So there! :)

Mattie is the sweetest girl you will ever meet. She lives next door to us and frequently joins us on our walks around the cald-e-sac and back. Today she was napping next to our house so I snapped a few shots of her for our neighbors. We have an upcoming "session" this week but she was too cute not to snap some today. Mattie is normally a bit more lively, has her ears perked up and comes up to us to get a few scratches. Today on the other hand- she wanted to be left alone and did not appreciate us distrubing her beauty sleep. She decided to get up and walk into her house. LOL :)
